Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She received the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and first female recipient. Apart from receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first Indian-born musician to present at and perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of the Indian sitar. She is a student and sister of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping back and forth between London in London and New Delhi. When she was only 13 when her first performance in New Delhi took place. She then moved to Encinitas CA, where she earned the High School diploma with honors in 1999. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording record. Her father was with her on numerous occasions for several years. The singer made Anourag her first solo album in 1998. Two years later she released the Grammy nominated Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. Her stage career is very broad as she's been in every one of the world's major venues. She acted in the film Dance Like a Man where she plays a young Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka is still progressing on her path and we can expect many more things to come from this talented woman. Anoushka Shakar, born in England lived the majority of her time between London Delhi. After moving to California she graduated from the high school. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75 Anoushka first made an appearance playing the sitar in front of the audience just four years after her 9-year-old father. Anoushka had the opportunity to acquire numerous valuable experience by accompanying her dad during his worldwide tour. It included performances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festivals and making recordings together with George Harrison. The House of Commons Shield was awarded to her from the British Parliament for being the most renowned Asian Arts musician. She is the sole female and the youngest winner of this distinction.
